BSB30115 Certificate III in Business


Australian Workplace Training offers BSB30115 Certificate III in Business via two delivery modes: Online (E-Learning) and Externally.

This qualification reflects the varied roles of individuals across different industry sectors who apply a broad range of competencies using some discretion, judgment and relevant theoretical knowledge. They may provide technical advice and support to a team.

Occupational titles may include:

  • Customer Service Officer
  • Data Entry Officer
  • General Clerk
  • Word Process Operator
  • Payroll Officer
  • Information Officer

An interview with a trainer will be arranged prior to your enrolment.
In this interview any difficulty you might experience with your training will be discussed, these may be language, literacy or physical disabilities. If you have any concerns or special needs please discuss them with the trainer during the interview as support could be available for you.

External and Online students study this course at their own pace, however it is anticipated the course will be completed in approximately twelve to eighteen months, it can be completed earlier depending on the individual. Students work at home with self-paced units and have access to a trainer either face to face or by phone, fax, correspondence and email for assistance.
Students are required to maintain monthly contact with their trainer via phone, email or face to face (please contact reception to arrange an appointment with your trainer).

During the course we will work with you to arrange a suitable venue(s) for work placement.
At the end of the course you will be expected to have completed a minimum of 120 hours of work placement to enable the assessment of your ability to implement your training under working conditions. Please discuss this with your trainer at your interview.
Please note that students completing the course through a funded initiative will be required to complete the number of work placement hours nominated in the funding agreement.

This qualification consists of 12 units; 1 core and 11 elective.
Each unit includes the relevant training and assessment materials required to achieve competency

BSBINM302 Ultilise a knowledge management system
BSBFLM306 Provide workplace information and resourcing plans

BSBCMM301 Process customer complaints
BSBITU313 Design and produce digital text documents *
BSBITU306 Design and produce business documents *
BSBITU309 Produce desktop published documents *
BSBFLM309 Support continuous improvement systems and processes
BSBFLM305 Support operational plan
BSBPUR301 Purchase goods and services

* – Please note for these units you will be required to have to access to Microsoft Office (word, excel, publisher and powerpoint) 2013 or office 365.

The qualification is achieved by successfully completing all the suggested units.
This can be achieved by participating in training sessions, completing assignments and by demonstrating your ability by putting the learning into practice under working conditions during the work placement.
