Completion of one of the following:
CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability), or
CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability), or
CHC30408 Certificate III in Disability plus the CHCSS00125 Entry to Certificate IV in Disability Support Skill Set

Attend a course suitability interview to assess learning support needs, goals, and alignment with disability sector outcomes.
Complete a pre-enrolment LLN assessment (such as CSPA or SRNI) to confirm core skills for successful participation.
National Police Check
Working with Children Check (WWCC)
NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
COVID-19 vaccination evidence (as required by host organisation or public health directives)
Up-to-date immunisation record (as requested by placement providers)
Must be physically capable of performing direct care duties, including assisting clients with daily living and mobility support.
Have access to a computer or tablet with internet connectivity to complete online learning and assessments through AWT’s Learning Management System (LMS).

The qualification is achieved by successfully completing all the core units plus the suggested elective units, and completed the mandatory minimum workpalcement hours.

Additional incidental costs may apply for work placement and course materials, depending on host-employer and individual requirements. Typical additional costs may include:
