Education is my passion because I firmly believe that it has the power to transform lives, break cycles of disadvantage, and build stronger communities. Being part of that process through teaching and managing for more than 20 years has been incredibly rewarding for me.
I am fortunate to be a part of an RTO that provides training to future care and community workers, and our focus is to ensure that our students—both current and future—receive quality, compliant, and industry-relevant education that empowers them to achieve their career goals. Every student’s journey is unique, and it will be our privileged to contribute to that growth.
Our aim at WT is to maintain full compliance with national standards, continuously improve our training and assessment practices, and build strong partnerships with employers and community stakeholders. More importantly, we are committed to make a positive impact by supporting lifelong learning and contributing to a skilled, capable, and inclusive workforce in South Australia.

Education and training are not static; it’s dynamic, constantly evolving with new research, technologies, and challenges. This makes my role both exciting and meaningful. I am passionate about creating learning environments where people feel supported, challenged, and motivated to grow. I am a trainer in a range of qualifications under the health sector umbrella and I strive to communicate effectively with empathy, adaptability, and an awareness of others' perspectives. I see my work as directly contributing to better health outcomes and stronger communities. Ultimately, this career allows me to combine my love for training with my desire to make a tangible difference in the lives of others. Being able to guide and mentor students to become professionals, knowing that their growth will support countless clients, gives me a deep sense of purpose and fulfillment. In my role, I intend to support both current and future students by fostering an inclusive, supportive, and enriching environment that promotes academic success and personal growth. This includes being accessible and responsive to student needs, helping them navigate challenges, and connecting them with the right resources. I also aim to proactively identify areas where students may need additional support—whether academically, socially, or emotionally—and collaborate with staff and faculty to address those needs. Additionally, I’m committed to creating opportunities for student engagement, leadership development, and career readiness to ensure they’re prepared for life beyond school. I hope Australian Workplace Training continues to empower individuals by providing practical, industry-relevant skills that lead to meaningful employment outcomes. I also hope it plays a key role in supporting workforce development across Australia, helping both individuals and businesses grow through quality training and education.

Trainer & Assessor – Individual Support, First Aid, Manual Handling
WHS Officer
My career as a trainer is deeply meaningful to me as it allows me to blend my extensive background in medicine and education. Having worked as a medical doctor overseas for several years, I bring a wealth of clinical experience and practical knowledge to my teaching. Before my medical career, I was an educator, and that passion for teaching has remained unwavering. I am driven by a desire to impart valuable knowledge and skills to my students, equipping them to become exceptional support workers who can exceed even my own achievements upon completing their course.
In my role as a trainer, I am committed to fostering a learning environment where students are encouraged to not only master the fundamental skills but also to aim higher, becoming more than just competent support workers. I aim to inspire them to be ambitious, to continually pursue professional development, and to expand their knowledge and skill set, enabling them to make a lasting impact on their clients and the organisations they work with.
My hope for AWT is to be recognised as a leading educational provider that does more than simply prepare support workers for the industry. I want us to be known for cultivating potential leaders — individuals who are not only proficient in their roles but also capable of stepping up, taking initiative, and adding value to any organisation they join. Together, we can build a legacy of excellence and inspire a new generation of compassionate, skilled, and forward-thinking support workers.

On a personal note, I have three children who were told by their teachers they did not have the abilities to go to university because of their perceived disabilities, they are now Registered nurses and have master’s in nursing and Educators. No matter what your background or age I believe you can succeed if you want to and that is why I do this job to help you to be the best you can.
