Attend a course suitability interview to assess learning support needs, goals, and alignment with disability sector outcomes.
Complete a pre-training assessment (e.g. CSPA or SRNI) to confirm you have the foundation skills needed for the course.
Be physically capable of performing care-related tasks during your minimum 120-hours work placement (e.g. assisting clients with mobility and personal care).
Current National Police Clearance
NDIS Worker Screening Check (or DHS Clearance)
Additional clearances as required by placement facilities (e.g. DHS Vulnerable Person, Aged Care Sector, Working with Children Check)
HLTAID011 Provide First Aid – must be completed prior to placement
COVID-19 and immunisation evidence as required by the host organisation
Access to a computer or tablet with internet to complete online learning and assessments through AWT’s Learning Management System (LMS).
