You will learn how to:

Completion of Year 12 (or equivalent), or an Australian AQF Certificate III (or higher) qualification.

Attend a course suitability interview to assess support needs, learning readiness, and alignment with youth work career goals.
Complete a pre-enrolment LLN assessment (such as CSPA or SRNI) to confirm core skills for successful study and workplace participation.
National Police Check
Working with Children Check (WWCC) or DHS Screening
NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
COVID-19 vaccination evidence (as required by placement provider or public health directives)
Up-to-date immunisation record (as requested by host organisation)
Demonstrate empathy, maturity, and respect when working with young people from diverse backgrounds.
Show commitment, self-motivation, and readiness for adult learning, and be prepared to work in dynamic and sometimes challenging youth and community environments.
Have access to a computer or tablet with internet connectivity to complete online learning and assessments through AWT’s Learning Management System (LMS).
