You will learn how to:
- Design, implement, and evaluate educational programs that support holistic child development
- Lead and mentor a team of educators to achieve excellence in practice

Successful completion of the CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, or its superseded equivalent.
This Diploma builds upon the foundational knowledge and skills gained at Certificate III level.
Attend a course suitability interview to assess prior experience, learning support needs, and career goals in alignment with the Diploma qualification and sector expectations.
Complete a pre-enrolment LLN assessment (such as CSPA or SRNI) to confirm communication, reading, and numeracy skills required for study and workplace learning.
Working with Children Check (WWCC) or DHS Clearance (as required by host organisation)
Current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID012) – Provide First Aid in an education and care setting
Evidence of immunisation status (as required by placement site)
National Police Check (if required by the host service)
- Preferrably currently working in the industry
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and wellbeing.
- Be ready to engage with children, families, and colleagues from diverse backgrounds, uphold confidentiality, and work within ethical, inclusive, and child-centred frameworks guided by the National Quality Framework (NQF) and Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
Have access to a computer or tablet with internet connectivity to complete online learning and assessments through AWT’s Learning Management System (LMS).
