HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting
9.00am to 5.00pm
One day course + pre-course workbook
Cost: $230 per person

 

Course Requirements:
It is a requirement of these courses that you are physically capable of performing uninterrupted CPR for at least 2 minutes on a CPR manikin placed on the floor.
The CPR training is included in the HLTAID009, HLTAID011, and HLTAID012 courses.

Students wishing to complete the course are required to contact us to book into the training.
Prior to attending the course students are required to pay for the course, collect their First Aid workbook from Australian Workplace Training, and complete their theory assessment to be returned to the trainer on the day of the training.

HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation

This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines.
This unit applies to all persons who may be required to provide CPR, in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.
Students who successfully complete this nationally recognised training will be awarded the statement of attainment for HLTAID009.

  • Airway Management
  • Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for an Adult and Infant

 

HLTAID011 Provide First Aid

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to a casualty in line with first aid guidelines determined by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and other Australian national peak clinical bodies.
The unit applies to all workers who may be required to provide a first aid response in a range of situations, include community and workplace settings.
Students who successfully complete this nationally recognised training will be awarded the statement of attainment for HLTAID009, HLTAID010 and HLTAID011.

  • Infectious Diseases and Hygiene
  • Heart Conditions
  • Environmental Exposure (Hot and Cold)
  • Poisons, Bites and Stings

 

HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to infants, children and adults in line with first aid guidelines determined by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and other Australian national peak clinical bodies.

This unit applies to a range of workers within an education and care setting who are required to respond to a first aid emergency, including asthma and anaphylactic emergencies. This includes early childhood workers and educators who work with school age children in outside school hours care and vacation programs.
Students who successfully complete this nationally recognised training will be awarded the statement of attainment for HLTAID009, HLTAID010, HLTAID011, and HLTAID012.
