Course Structure:

This qualification consists of 20 units (12 core and 8 elective.)
Each unit includes the relevant training and assessment materials required to achieve competency

Core Units:
CHCCCS004 Assess co-existing needs
CHCCCS007 Develop and implement service programs
CHCCCS019 Recognise and respond to crisis situations
CHCCSM013 Facilitate and review case management
CHCDEV005 Analyse impacts of sociological factors on people in community work and services
CHCDFV001 Recognise and respond appropriately to domestic and family violence
CHCDIV001 Work with diverse people
CHCDIV002 Promote Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander cultural safety
CHCLEG003 Manage legal and ethical compliance
CHCMGT005 Facilitate workplace debriefing and support processes
CHCPRP003 Reflect on and improve own professional practice
HLTWHS003 Maintain work health and safety

Option 2 – Case Management Specialisation Elective Units:

BSBPEF401 Manage personal health and wellbeing

The qualification is achieved by successfully completing all the core units plus the suggested elective units for your chosen specialisation.
This can be achieved by participating in training sessions, completing assignments and by demonstrating your ability by putting the learning into practice under working conditions during the work placement.
To achieve this qualification, the candidate must have completed the hours of work (work placement) as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of the units of competency. Skills Recognition is available.

During the course we will work with you to arrange a suitable venue(s) for work placement. At the end of the course you will be expected to have completed a minimum of 200 hours of work placement to enable the assessment of your ability to implement your training under working conditions. Please discuss this with your trainer at your interview.
Please note that students completing the course through a funded initiative will be required to complete the number of work placement hours nominated in the funding agreement.

This qualification has subsidies available Supported by Government of South Australia for eligible participants.

Subsidised Course Cost: $885 (General) or $960 (Case Management Specialisation)
Subsidised Course Concession Cost: $735 (General) or $800 (Case Management Specialisation)

DHS Screening check:  Approximately $65.45 for students

Skills Recognition Costs:
Recognition Prior Learning: $300 per unit
Credit Transfer: $25 per unit
